Dear colleagues,

I’m currently working on a study that aims to explore students’ openness toward new types of learning strategies/ innovative methods (e.g., new formative feedback strategies, flipped classrooms, collaborative learning, etc.). I am looking for a validated and preferably previously published instrument or scale that measures this construct, especially in secondary or post-secondary education contexts.

I’ve come across references to tools like the SAIL scale (Student Attitudes Toward Innovation in Learning) and subscales from instruments like DELES (Distance Education Learning Environments Survey), but full item sets are often hard to access.

Could anyone recommend:

  • A published, validated scale that measures openness to new learning methods or strategies?
  • Any prior work where you’ve measured students’ attitudes toward pedagogical innovation, non-traditional learning environments, or novel educational approaches?
  • Open-access versions or examples of such instruments?

Any leads, papers, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Best regards,

Bikash
