Hi everyone

I'm looking for a DNA extraction protocol from beetles, actually I started extracting DNA from different families (scarabidae, carabidae, cerambycidae) about 2 months ago but there aren't any DNA bands on the agarose gels. Then I decided to extract DNA from some larvae to check the protocol. Actually I have DNA when I use larvae, you can see the agarose gel in the pic that I attached. But the extraction is really dirty, I think DNA is sheared and I have protein contamination in the wells.

I'm using salting out method:

Also I used liquid nitrogen to grind the beetles (just one or two legs or thorax), and I increased the volume of proteinase K, but the problem hasn't been solved.
