Unfortunately it is likely that LongCovid patients will need EPO treatment for a long time to fully recover - they have suffered from EPO deficiency for a long time. Too high a dose will provoke the production of TNF-alpha & Co., and therefore have no effect on the inflammation. (Similar to treatment with corticosteroids - see below under "Hypocortisolemia ..."). Decreasing the dose over time is suggested.

EPO deficiency is "the common denominator" in both LongCovid and in Covid-19.
Covid-19 and LongCovid are immunologic, hematologic, metabolic, neurologic and endocrinologic diseases.
