First of all, let me accept upfront that I am an MRI physicist, with very little understanding/knowledge of biochemistry and anatomy of human body.

I am working on developing an MRI based molecular imaging tool which can create spatial map of hyaluronic acid (HA) in-vivo in clinical feasible time. None the less, I am still not able to see the clinical significance of this HA-map or see diagnostic/prognostic value of this. In other words, what I am asking is:  if some important diagnostic/prognostic information, such as the stage of fibrosis, can be deduced using HA-map which is otherwise not possible with blood chemical measurement?
