Hi,Is there anyone who has a list of the inactivated genes on X-chromosome or at least regions which are silenced. I mean genes which are silenced by XIST in order to achieve dosage compensation.
I don't have a specific list, but I do know that the vast majority of genes on the X are inactivated in females. Only a few genes escape inactivation in what is called the pseudoautosomal region of X, which are located at the very tips. You can pretty much assume that every gene with exception of those at the extreme ends of X are going to be inactivated on one copy of the X chromosome.
