Linking Abaqus 6.14-2 and Intel Fortran?

Hello,

I am trying to link Intel Fortran, Visual Studio and Abaqus.

I installed as per the below sequence

Abaqus 6.14-2
Visual Studio 2013 Community version
Intel Parallel Studio XE 2015 Update 4 Professional Edition (Student version)

2. Then I linked it as per procedure attached. (Actual links pasted)

3. Tried to run in Abaqus command window sample files .inp for job and .f for user;

abaqus job=exa_hydfracture user=exa_hydfracture

4. Observed following error;

5. I know that any particular Abaqus version requires a particular versions of Visual Studio and Intel Fortran. However, I was not able to get the prescribed version of Intel Fortran as a student. Abaqus forum is firm and says that tha prescribed version will only work. Intel Fortran forum is not ready to accept that a higher version will not work and a specific older version is required

Please provide suggestions if any, as I am really tired of this particular issue!

You should first run the abaqus verification and then try your example.

I would say to go with visual studio 2012 and intel parallel studio 2013, at least trial versions should be available.

I use abaqus 6.13-1 with them. On windows 7 the following worked for me (after many attempts of installing/uninstalling):

1) Microsoft visual studio 2012

2) Intel Parallel Studio XE 2013

3) Abaqus 6.13-1

4) edit abaqus.bat and abq6131.bat in C:\SIMULIA\Abaqus\Commands by adding 2 lines:

call "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0\VC\bin\amd64\vcvars64.bat"

call "C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\Composer XE 2013\bin\ifortvars.bat" intel64 vs2012
