Dear partners

I would like to share a reflection

I am a statistician, and many times I find some queries strange and I apologize for not understanding quickly. But it seems strange to me to obtain a "MEAN" of data that does not represent value but rather a "subjective increase" of a feeling, or sensation of a person with respect to a stimulus. I think everyone up to now always worries about value, which intrinsically, their evaluation is absolutely personal, and therefore parameters like the average begin to make no sense.

Do you prefer to be single (1) or married (2) ?, and if the result is 1.1, then the average is almost single, but since it is not interpreted in that way, then how to understand the mean? It seems that another measure is better than that.

What do you think?
