Learning Finite element method?

Dear Professors and scientists,

I would like to know how to learn FEA from zero ( I have several books and basic tutorials ) is that the correct start ? Okay but how to implement my concept fea skills on a real-life project ? If you learn concepts from books . how to implement them on a CAR or Engine . Are there sources for Projects or Open-source projects where one can learn the implementation of FEA skills on real projects and applications? or any tips?

Dear practice is only the way, as you write you have several books and tutorials then first go through help files first practice on tutorial than think about your simple project when you fully understand your project you became learner to trainer.
