I am trying to model a landfill with energy recovery. I wonder if there is a system or literature that explain how to decide the number of blowers considering landfill size and not only gas flow rate (information that I do not have); Like, every 10 meters for vertical wells?
If you have a paper related to LFG blower distribution please let me know.

The usual way to design the blower system (LFG extraction) is based on the LFG generation model. For the final decision making of the number and type of blowers you have to consider also the energy generation system I.e. number of gas turbines, gas engines, boilers, etc and the gas feeding requirements.
Since blowers are the bottle neck of the system, it is common to install a stand-by blower (should the budget of the project allows it).
I am talking from experience, but an internet search could provide you some bibliographic references.
