According to Untereiner et al. (2011) "there is no cultural or molecular evidence to connect this species to any previously characterized anamorphic, lichen-inhabiting member of the Chaetothyriales".

If I check Index Fungorum: see below. Our library is not accessible at the moment, we cant check if teleomorphs were described before 1990. Would be very useful to describe it clearly & see what is the difference with Trichomerium. K peltigerae clusters in Trichomeriaceae (but unfortunately we don't know where the Capronia type species C sexdecimspora is located. Somebody with knowledge of teleomorphs should redefine Capronia. Hi Dr. Hugo,

Please update me with your conclusion on this case. We need to include them in our paper. I do not like to place any conidial fungi in a certain family/order/class if they do not have DNA or linked to sexual morph by culture method. I discussed about this with Dr. Kevin Hyde and he also agreed with me. in fact, I removed many asexual genera from families/orders. huh!

Moreover, maintaining two name for two morphs which have been linked by culture methods need to be corrected.
