Hello I'm looking for a lung cancer cell line.
I'll use NCI-H1299 cells for my experiments, but it has partial deletion in p53 and lacks expression of p53 protein.
Because I wanted to consider the effect with wild type p53, I used A549 cell line too. But our A549 were not transfected well with lipofectamin.
Maybe this result is caused by our A549 cells' condition. So I decide to buy newly the lung cancer cell line. Before I buy it, I want to ask if I have any other choice.
Could you recommend the lung cancer cell line with wild type p53 and high transfection efficiency, please?
I work with a number of lung cancer lines, H460 cells are easily transfected with Lipofectamine and grow more consistently than A549. H460s also have wild-type p53 and p73 (H1299s are p53 and p73 null).
Thank you for all you guys! I'll consider to use H460 cells in place of A549.
