In many societies around the globe, names almost always have meanings. In some societies people believe that a person’s name has significant impact on their manner, attitudes and demeanor, by virtue of meanings of their names. In Pakistan, sometimes people change kids name when the kids have aggressiveness in their nature.

Interestingly, From school to college, college to university there were no or few (one or two) girls whose name were Maham and my classmate's and cousin's love to pronounce my name loud haha. Yes, I believe it does matter. BUT Not only names also our personality affects their behavior and attitudes towards us.
