Employees from other professions always think that " teaching is a relaxed job", there is no issue to raise work-family conflict due to job pressures....please, what you think about it?
Mohammad Mizanur - It is a wrong notion if "Employees from other professions always think that " teaching is a relaxed job", there is no issue to raise work-family conflict due to job pressures". I think teaching is not a relaxed job especially at higher education level. A teacher has to work beyond the office hours to meet the needs of teaching, research and extension. As per reports some teachers work 12 to 16 hours a day because teaching and research is very competitive and the teacher has to meet the demands of publishing as required by institutions in which they work.

Not really i.e. every job have their own demands or pressures - of course these demands / pressures might be perceived differently by different people or by people transitioned from corporate / industrial to academia or vice-versa. Think one should explore & find a job that s/he likes so that s/he can contribute the most, enjoy the best, feel no pressure & have balanced work-life balance.
