It is found that in terms of quantitative research, researchers are giving only attentions on practical, managerial contributions without focusing on theoretical contributions. Is it fair enough to focus only practical contributions?
Theoretical frameworks are critically important to all of our work, quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods. All research articles should have a valid theoretical framework to justify the importance and significance of the work. On the other hand, practical contributions are needed to explain, why and where the work will be effective? And finally both are definitely interrelated. e.g., someone knows how to ride a bicycle(practical) and someone knows the name of all parts of bicycle (theoritical). the person, who knows how to ride bicycle and name of all the parts which construct a bicycle, is a good researcher. and his work will be a good one.
