VDJ recombination is acting at the DNA level, it allows to create the diversity of DNA sequences to produce the diversity of polypeptide sequences of antibodies. Hypermutability is also known to play at the DNA level to enrich the repertory and specificity of previously selected B-type lymphocytes. Some editing at the RNA level may be possible, I don't know example or reference to this point. Alternative splicing is acting at the RNA level, it allows to produce from the same gene either a membranar polypeptide or a secreted polypeptide but without any modification of the sequence, only by a selection of which exons to retain.

I agree. I thing that spice term is not suitable for this process

Now I am looking for a primer covering the main part of VDJ complex. Then I want to use the PCR product for sequencing.

A limitation is that the products are polyclonal!!! But my current limitation is finding a primer.
