Is this transformation successful one?

I have cloned some guides to the digested backbone and transformed them into Amp-plates. The cloned guide plates show colonies, but the negative control indicates fewer colonies than the actual sample. Does it mean transformation has worked? Or is there a problem with the backbone? Why does the negative plate show some colonies?
