Dear Khritish Swargiary and Viswanathan P. Karthiayani Warning! I suspect that this journal “Revista de Gestao Social e Ambiental” is either a hijacked version of the legit journal or (in this case most likely) an example of what used to be a legit journal that turned into a predatory one. I see numerous red flags:
-The most important one is the sudden increase in accepted and published papers since 2023 as evident when clicking on “Scopus content coverage” here https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21100268407
-Publisher changed (without a proper announcement somewhere) round end of 2022. The same is true for the website(s) which use to be https://rgsa.emnuvens.com.br/rgsa/index and is now all ‘changed’ in https://rgsa.openaccesspublications.org/rgsa
-According to disturbing comments on SCImago the journal is under review by Scopus and most likely will be discontinued soon https://www.scimagojr.com/journalsearch.php?q=21100268407&tip=sid&clean=0
-Looking at the published papers in for example 2024 I see too many fully unrelated papers (in relation to the title and scope of the journal)
-See also here for more disturbing issues https://www.linkedin.com/posts/viktoriia-miroshnichenko-77204a24a_publadvance-scopusjournals-scopus-activity-7118141002279788544-y-yc?trk=public_profile
Not entirely sure what happened here but I think this is no longer a safe choice (when it comes to Scopus indexing etc.).
According to https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21100268407#tabs=2 they 'published' already 40 times more than 'normal' in 2024 (while we are not even halfway the year).
