I need explanation on some specific concepts, in order to get a general understanding mainly in structural bioinformatics. And a suggestions on guides to use integrative software.
You may try online youtube tutorial. Alternatively, there are many free online bioinformatics courses on Edx, Coursera, etc. for you to learn bioinformatics for free. Topics which you can learn from these sources are plenty, for example, protein structure prediction, protein docking, protein/DNA alignment, primer design, R for bioinformatics and many more.
The area of bioinformatics is very diverse and interesting. There many problems and it it depends on the core/research area of the scholar to focus on which problems more like structure prediction, algorithm development,NGS,etc. Like for example my area is bioinformatics algorithm development and applying reverse engineering to find out key genes in disorders.
Bioinformatics is, fundamentally, an issue of pattern matching. Pattern matching is a sub-field of computer science. So, bioinformatics amounts to the searching for patterns within, for instance the genome, or, between genome and proteome. Yet, ultimately, bioinformatics is not different from the recognition of license plate numbers in 2D images, such as those taken by cameras located at international border crossings.
If you want to say hello to structural bioinformatics, I think a book entitled
Understanding Bioinformatics edited by Marketa J Zvelebil, Jeremy O. Baum (https://www.crcpress.com/Understanding-Bioinformatics/Zvelebil-Baum/p/book/9780815340249) is the best option for you. You can also read newer books for reaching the goal. The second edition of Structural Bioinformatics edited by Jenny Gu, Philip E. Bourne (https://www.wiley.com/en-us/Structural+Bioinformatics%2C+2nd+Edition-p-9780470181058) is another choice for you. You can download these books from the literature, and then try to learn everything about structural bioinformatics quickly.
