Actually, I am using an experimental task which is computer based. And that task is html, php coding based also. My task is completely ready in english. And after that a variable of Anxiety has been added to study. And that anxiety scale is adapted in Hindi, so thinking to use it.
So i am confused about this language discrepancy between experimental task and anxiety scale.
I recommend Spielberger's State/Trait anxiety questionnaire for testing cognitive anxiety. It tests both the general anxiety level as well as State anxiety. I used this testing both types of anxiety for my PhD which focused on performance anxiety
Thank you @Brooker for answering. I also used this questionnaire with my experiment. But the question coming to my mind is discrepancy of language (hindi language of questionnaire and enlish instructions of experiment of different phases) is going to affect research process anyhow?
The State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) is copyrighted and in terms of cognitive performance the state is obviously a better predictor of performance. Although, the two facets are often highly correlated. There will be some context variation.
Depression anxiety and stress scale (dass-21) is freely available - This scale can be used as long as the website, the authors, and the papers are acknowledged.
That can create a bias in the procedure. If you are conducting the experiment in India, among the Indian people, it is best to translate the instruction into Indian.
