It is well known, that the Standard Model has become one of the most successful physical theories so far. But the search for better theories is still going in, which is coined as Beyond Standard Model.

In this regard, i just found a recent paper by Piotr Zenczykowski at Journal of Physics (2011), where he shows that a phase-space model can provide a possible theoretical description of single generation of Standard Model. It also provides description for the origin of Gell-Mann-Nishijima relation. It also leads to Harari-Shupe's rishon model without introducing any preons at all. So it seems that phase-space model could show that rishon model remains relevant for discussion.

So, do you think that there is future for rishon model? Your comments are welcome.
