I don't have any experiences with your molecule, but with other apolar/lipophilic proteins. Since your protein consists of 7 trans-membrane helices, it should have a lipophilic character, too. Therefore, you should be able to solve it in apolar organic solvents, .e.g. DMSO.
For transmembrane proteins, a detergent is usually used to make a solution. According to the Sigma web site, you can make an aqueous suspension by sonication.
