I am trying to upload my 2-D gel images to PDQuest software virgin 8.0.1, but the software refuses them. Despite that at first it asked me to upload them in Grey scale, which I have already done, but the software said the images should be uncompressed, which they are as a tiff. format. Has anyone had the same problem and can help me please?
This problem arises only when you have scanned your gel at higher dpi i.e more than 300. As you have mentioned that your gel picture are in tiff. format, then I think the only reason is dpi. My suggestion is to rescan your gel at lower dpi and upload it in PDQuest.
Even if you don’t have that gel to rescan it, just take the colored printout of your gel picture and scan it at lower dpi, uploaded it in PDQuest.
