Do you mean someone to be a supervisor for your current MA? This will usually be someone within your own university.

If you are thinking about a supervisor for doing a PhD - then your best approach will be to decide where you want to study. Then research who might be best suited to your research topic. Some supervisors accept emails prior to application to discuss the possibility of studying under her/him.
