To pepare microscopic slide of plant root cell, which stain can be used if not acetocarmine? for studying micronucleus.
Carbol fuchsin , toluidine blue, feulgen are the alternatives. I would prefer you to use Carbol fuchsinas, as it is found to be more superior than the other two.

Feulgen is the best alternative which is a specific nuclear stain unlike Acetocarmine.
