Thank you Dr. Schnug for your excellent input and Dr. Reich for the attached publications. I think, different uptake rates of cations and anions require both regulation of cellular pH and compensation of electrical charges. So, is there any relation between them. I believe different rates in cation-anion uptake ratio by roots are an important cause for inter-cellular pH perturbations.
