Acquifier is also one of the medium to store thermal energy, but this system is used for space heating only. What will happen if we use the same in solar distillation ?
The paper by Dr. Naveen may give an answer. Seasonal storage of heat from solar energy could be profitable, considering that in my country about one third of consumptions of fuels are for home heating.
The energy storage is a very interesting thematic at the present. Indeed, it is a very suitable way for resolving the intermittency problem and also some problems related to batteries. Currently the most used processes for solar energy storage are: first the mechanical process based on water pumping up to elevated basin. This water when naturally circulated under gravity can produce electricity using a turbine. Second way consists of using salts which can storage energy during their phase change (from solid to liquid and vice versa).
