Are there any new research perspectives added in the field human/child development. Any design based research which has revealed strong impact and generated significant prototype theory.
Field trips are commonly the most memorable scholastic experience of children (and young students) in their formative years. Despite their brevity, they offer fertile grounds for affective learning because they inspire situated learning in integrated and interacting personal, social, and physical contexts. Generic learning outcomes ensue in the areas of knowledge and understanding; skills; attitudes and values; enjoyment, inspiration, and creativity; and activity, behavior, and progression. The role of emotions in learning has been overlooked. Despite their undoubted potential, field trips remain an insufficiently understood (and therefore underused) pedagogical technique. dear Swati , thx for raising a very interesting issue.
We would really appreciate if in brief you can mention it more clearly , for example is it related with psychology , economics , demography etc.., as you know this theme has several dimensions which is not v much clear from your question .
