It contradict the statement that capacitance increase with increment in specific surface area and decrement in pore size.

There are some things you could consider in this case:

1. What material is the MOF electrode made of, and what is the electrical conductivity of that material?

2. Are the pore sizes of the MOF material well distributed?

3. Is anything hindering ion transport in your characterization system?
