Is there any regional, as well as national red data list for bivalve shells collected from the sea shore of Bay of Bengal near Lakshmipuram Village, Kavali Mandal of SPSR Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh, India?
Hi, I am wondering if you can you determine the CaCO3 content of the barnacle shell by using a carbometer device (Müller and Gastner). It is a small container in which you introduce the sample with hydrochloric acid, will degrade the CaCO3 and you calculate the percentage of CaCO3 measuring the CO2 pressure... it sound difficult but it is very easy.
