Tunneling nanotubes are long cytoplasmic bridges that connect two cells. These tube-like structures do not touch the surface (of coverslip) in vitro. I want to quantify these structures and currently do it manually using depth coding. However, it is time-consuming and has chances of errors.

Can anyone suggest if there is any way to automate the quantification of these tube-like structures?
