Is there any health risk associated with the smell/fumes associated with plastic footwear (in terms of respiratory or systemic). )?

I have been reading online that though plastic smell from shoes are common and a noxious smell, I was wondering if there is any associated health risk or objective data regarding what are the common chemicals/fumes/smell associated with plastic shoes (eg, nitrogen oxides and phosgene which are known gas toxic sometimes occupational exposures which have known insidious health risks)?
