Greetings! I could not see the research gate that why couldn't see your posted question. Sorry for the delayed response. I think we can fit the UV spectra with the origin. I did not try yet. I think, we can modelled the straight background with one peak, and peak position can fit with the Pseudo-Voigt function.

Not only UV-Vis. spectra but any set of data points can be fit using the basic functions provided with OriginPro (Windows) or pro Fit (macOS) software.
