How we can say that one polymer is M-helical or P-helical? I'm eager to know about polymers like poly(diphenylacetylene), not about the usual proteins like DNA helicity.
How we can prove this experimentally?
Whether Circular Dichroism will say something about helicity of above mentioned Polymer?

Generally the Optical Rotatory Disperson (ORD) and Circular Dichroism (CD) are used to identify the helical structures for polymers (especially biopolymers) in solution. There are some equations using which one can also calculate the alpha and beta helical contents using ORD and CD data.
