Most important side effect of eplerenone is hyperkalemia. Serum potassium level should be closely monitored. High dose eplerenone in rat can cause benign thyroid tumor. Few report of breast cancer and hepatic neoplasm have been linked to prolonged use of eplerenone in human.. But not well proven.. Thanks
