I am looking for an in vitro Antibody/Sars-CoV-2 pseudotype or antigen co-culture experiment that can demonstrate antibody dependent enhancement using IL-6, a measure of indirect activation and inflammation, as the readount. An in vivo study would be best at demonstrating this but they are $$$. I am looking for something that is easier, quicker, and does not require wild type virus. Any references of methods appreciated.
It is hard to find Antibody-Dependent Enhancement assay for SARS-COV-2, but look at the literature of ADE in dengue infection
Check out this paper on Dengue Ab enhancement. Basically, you are looking at elevation in cytokines as a positive correlation with antibody levels. True ADE is not neutralizing, however, so while this applies to dengue with 4 serotypes, maybe not COVID. COVID doesn't seem to display ADE as its macrophage infection properties are different from SARS-1.
