I aborted my qPCR run (LightCycler 480, Roche) in the cooling program because I could already see all curves and thought cooling was not necessary. Unfortunately, I then found out that the LightCycler480 software cannot do an analysis on aborted runs, although all data is available! I am now looking for either a way to get the Ct values with the Roche software, which I find unlikely or I am looking for another software to open the .ixo file generated and would like to extract Ct values with this other software.
I would appreciate if anyone could give some advice. Thanks a lot!

Do you have the possibility to export a .txt file of the Ct values or not at all?
If not, try to open your .ixo file with ExpressionSuite software (https://www.thermofisher.com/cz/en/home/technical-resources/software-downloads/expressionsuite-software.html), it may work.

thanks for your reply and suggestion.
There is no way to get Ct values out of the LightCycler480 software (I also talked to the customer support) and the program you suggested does not open .ixo files, only .las files. Therefore I will repeat my experiment today and never abort any runs again. ;)

I just found a way to resolve this issue. In this website you can find the LightCycler480 software that is designed to import IXO files from LightCycler 4.X
You will need a user (admin) and password (LightCycler480) when starting the software once it is installed. Hope it helps you!
