I do have the Axon guide. I need something shorter for students... I guess I can give the Axon guide to my PhD student, though. ..but I still need to find some more basic staff for the university students.
But I definitely need to get the 'patch-clamp bible' for myself on the bookshelf.

Thanks! It's great. Now I think our library has this book. If not I'll try to find some online source. And of course the JOVE is also great... I get the message quicker when I watch it too not just read about it. Now I just have to find the time to go through all the staff you guys recommended. Thanks a lot to all of you!

I highly recommend you to get a collection of books and online sources for your lab. I each of them you can find some points that there is not in another one. In addition to above references, please also look at the totorial of Axon 700B amplifier (especially the explanations about working with a model cell).
