Amorphous silicon has lower volumetric change than crystalline silicon during first cycles of charge and discharge. How can we prepare amorpous silicon from nanostructured crystalline silicon? Is it Possible?
crystalline to amorphous conversion can be induced by damaging processes. But why do you need to crystallize silicon (a process that costs a lot of energy) if you don't care about its crystal structure?
As I mentioned, I need amorphous silicon, not crystalline silicon. amorphous silicon experiences less volumetric change during first charge and discharge.
I believe there is no need to change crystalline silicon to amophous one since there are techniques such as CVD and PECVD that are able to prepare various micro and nanostructures made of device quality amorphous silicon.. So I´m interest why do you need to do this change?
