Actually, R is compatible with statistics. Maybe in http://www.r-tutor.com/r-introduction/matrix or with package in CRAN
I meant a book or website for best practices..
You can use Bioconductor Limma package or Mama or Mama package(https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/MAMA)
