I have extracted RNA directly from Cabernet Sauvignon with no difficulties but now I am trying to extract RNA from Pinot Noir and I can't do it. One possibility is due to the use of a different extraction kit but I was wondering if the wine variety might be playing some sort of trouble as well.

I extract RNA from bacteria growing in filtered wine after the alcoholic fermentation which has no other microorganism than the one we inoculate (lactic acid bacteria). If in doubt, have a look to the article.
