I see that there are ldlr and apo deficient (-/-) mice, but for for example granzyme B, they are called granzyme B KO mice. Is there a difference in -/- deficient mice or KO mice
Both Gene-/- and GeneKO indicate that the mouse is homozygous for the deleted allele. You may also see this represented as Gene∆/∆. How this is written is likely due to personal preference or guidelines from a journal.
