This is a broad field. Since the beginnings of science, there has been overlap between philosophy and the other sciences, including the natural sciences. The overlap is also obvious in the history of science. Similarities between the humanities and the natural sciences also exist in certain methods, especially mathematical ones (e.g. mathematical statistics).
