I am trying to tag proteins with several tags and will be interested in exploring the dyes that can be used for live-cell imaging. His-tag in particular is an interesting candidate for my experiments.
Although it will be also great to know other tags and cell-permeable dyes that could be used to label protein in living cells. Thanks in advance.
I'm not sure about dye for his tags, but the sequence CCPGCC forms covalent bonds with FlAsH-EDT2, which is a cell permeable dye. Here are some papers as a reference:
