We are using a system that has metal ions. We need to use a pH 3 or 4 buffer that does not contain organic acids, as they chelate the metals.
You can use Glycine - Hydrochloric Acid (0.1 M Glycine titrated with HCl to necessary pH)
Have you considered phosphoric acid/sodium phosphate?
For this pH range the best buffer capacity are:
- malic acid/sodium hydroxide
- citric acid/sodium dihidrogencitrate
- formic acid/sodium formate
- glycolic acid/sodium hydroxide
- sodium fluoride/hidroclhoric acid
- phthalic acid/sodium hydroxide
Attach the chapter book dedicated to buffer preparation, but I recommend use the "BufferMaker" Software. Regards
I have not addede any paper yet but it has selected 3 papers which are not mine in my account. i want to delete that information. please help me
