The recipes of Baron Keynes were well very suited for the post WW2 economies of the West, e.g. social market economics in West-Germany was strongly influenced by this anti-cyclical model of economics. The underlying cybernetic idea will continue to be of vital economic importance, but we need 'modernized adaptations', in terms of scientific cognition/learning and not dogmatic partisanhip.

Be advised that i am a newcomer to this subject matter. However have said that , i feel that i am able to add to Stephan Ternyik's comment:

It is my naivety that i think the nation's ability to optimally integrate it's educational and economical systems into one system will yield a "healthy nation. Theoretically this can easily be shown via the mathematical laws of physics. However, in the real world these models are difficult to be validated via organic measurements. I would propose that a nations GDP could be such an organic sensor. As such, the nations GDP may normalized and compared to the GDP of others -- see attachment.
Using the normalized GDP as a "measurement" of the nation's "health". The economic state of the economic system may be extracted. These "states(shrouded in uncertainty)" would be required to satisfy GDP characteristics as illustrated additional attachment 2. These would provide 1st level validation of the theory from scientific models (including uncertainty ) of GDP which satisfy mathematical physics.
Books are certainly valuable sources of information and offer myriad benefits regarding all aspects of life. However, such benefits are actualized if and only if the authorities in charge translate them into action. In other words, conceptualization of theories should be operationalized in real life contexts. As the wise adage states, " Actions speak louder than words."
