As the Bangkladesh Physician claims that the combination of Ivermectin and Doxycycline effective for COVID-19 treatment. As these two medicines are already in clinical use and as they claim that patients are cured as early as 4 days, this could be a great achievement for effective treatment of covid-19. Their claims needs to be further validated in larger subject in other countries before prescribing to the patients.

Herein, the authors propose a modified version of the CHA 2 DS 2-VASc score, including 1 point for COVID-19, so that prophylaxis to protect against thromboembolic events would be indicated before the condition becomes severe. The advantages of this modification would be prevention of the patient' s condition worsening due to thromboembolic problems and reduction of the likelihood of a need for intensive care and mechanical ventilation, reducing mortality.

I think that doxycicline may be very useful for different reasons, e.g., for its properties against MMPs. Ivermectin might also play an important role in COVID-19 patients. Curiously, both drugs are widely used for Rosacea (common in UK and Australia)... I'm not surprised that they were initially proposed by Australian or British researchers

To be honest, if I was admitted needing oxygen, I would accept dexamethazone and ivermectin and anti-coagulants, from a skilled and cautious clinician.

In my country,Egypt a wide range of pulmonolgists including me had used it for about 5 months with good results and nearly no side effects with a dose of 600 micro-grams /kg for 5-7 days and the results will be published soon.

Doxycycline has antiviral , antibacterial & anti inflammatory properties & should be valuable in Covid 19 along with Ivermectin, which is also an antiviral drug . If the treatment is started early , as soon as the symptoms of Covid 19 appear , it should prevent the complications by reducing the viral load & preventing the cytokine storm & reducing the mortality . It is difficult to treat after the cytokine storm is well established . In addition , with the controversy with the Azithromycin + Hcqs combination , it is probably preferable to use the Doxy + Ivermectin combination .

At present I have treated 8 patients with ivermectin and dox lb on mild to moderate patients showed good results. 5patients have fully recovered within 3-4 days and the treatment regime has promising results.

Well the Kerr, Cadegiani et al study in Brazil had n=139,000, and the Merino et al study in Mexico City had n=220,000. They were positive. How large do you want trials to be?

Your ref 2 leads to a corrupted file. But in any case few if any of the RCTs (with 361 authors and 7000 patients) note any really serious side effects.
