In reverse micelle synthesis, we prepare two solutions with different reactants and let these two solutions mix so that there is exchange of reactants. But is reverse micelle synthesis possible only with hydrophilic reactants?
For the synthesis of the direct and reverse microemulsion used surfactants with a specific hydrophobic -hydrophilic balance. It can be calculated if you know the structure of the surfactant.
Sir, I guess I didn't understand your answer completely. i did understand that the surfactant used will have specific hydrophobic-hydrophilic balance. But, "In the injection method, a few microlitres of concentrated stock solution of the reactants are injected into the hydrocarbon solution of the surfactant." I am asking about the reactant! Whether we can add hydrophobic reactants into the water pool of reverse micelles?
I guess my previous question was not framed correctly...
