Hey,
How to determine effective viscosity of a liquid mixture of Newtonian and Non-Newtonian fluid? Is there any empirical method of determining this effective viscosity?
Read any regular textbook on Non-Newtonian fluids or Rheology, you will find plenty of information of there.
I will choose the rheometer to describe its flow/viscosity curve.
I can offer two publications as I have worked on this topic by examination polysaccharide solutions in Water.
Maybe the encolosed papers will help.
Yours sincerely
Franz Werner

Some sources say it is treated as Newtonian as ethylene glycol has a higher viscosity than water, which affects the flow characteristics in simulations. But some also say it is non-Newtonian.
