Can some one tell me, whether Ovarian teratoma cell line PA-1 harbour any mutation in p53 cell line? According to Cosmic database, it is wild type p53. However, other studied contradict this observation. Let me know if any convincing literature available for same.
The cell line originally tested positive for a wild-type p53 (see the link). However, culturing the cell line for a long period of time (higher passages) may give rise to clonal populations that lack the p53 function. Therefore, testing for p53 function could provide information about the p53 status in your cells.

Feel free to send us a RNA sample for analysis with or functional p53 assay FASAY. We can also do sequencing from DNA and perform an STR analysis to confirm that the cell lines is really PA-1.
