According to our city surgery dataset, the incidence rate of the CBD stone(s) has been 10-12 per cent for the patients with the acute cholecystitis and 1-3 per cent for those with the chronic one for last 10 years. Would anyone share the statistical data from his/her region, please?
I agree. In Chile we have 3-5 percent in cronic cholecystitis, and at least twice in the acute cases.
Dear Andrey,I donot have data set but my personal experience with over 30000 lapcholes since the proceedure started in 1990 in India,I would say that it is more common in chronic cholecystitis.

My respect to Dr.Reddy. You have got the great personal experience and just ought to have had it analysed and published. The famous German biliary surgeon H.Kehr was seemingly the first to perform 1,000 cholecystectomies. He wrote a book on biliary surgery which became a kind of encyclopaedia on this field for decades.
Moreover, I must confess that there are about 5,000 cholecystectomies per year only being performed in Novosibirsk and its region ('oblast', an administrative unit) (2, 750,000 of populaton) by some 300 surgeons (see an attached file below).
As for the matter of the topic itself, I have heard already both of the contrary opinions about the CBD stone frequency in the acute vs. chronic cholecystitis' patients.
1) This difference may be true and depends on some geographical or racial traits, food properties, etc., but, if so it really is, it remaines obscured what namely are they and how do they act like.
2) this difference may be faulse, and being conditioned by different diagnostic criteria and modalities:
a) how the choledocholithiasis is defined (for example, is the sludge called 'stones', or not yet?
b) how the CBD stones were diagnosed;
c) when, according to operation, the CBD stones were diagnosed: before, during, or after it? Was that diagnostical procedure(s) routine and planned, or performed on demand after a complication occured?
d) I could not find any modern paper concerning a cross-talking between the CBD stone incidence and other main characteristics of the disease, namely:
d1. number of stones in the gallbladder
d2. size of stones in the GB
d3. CFU count of the GB bile (I would not say about its chemical analysis)
d4. by a prevalent chemical component of the GB stones' content (brown or black pigment, cholesterol, etc.
d5. the cystic duct and CBD diameters
and so on, and so on...
